Core Process Psychotherapy

What is Core Process Psychotherapy?

Core Process Psychotherapy is a holistic approach to psychotherapy that integrates Western psychotherapeutic principles with Eastern contemplative practices, such as mindfulness and meditation. It is based on the belief that every individual has an inherent sense of wholeness and wisdom, and that this can be accessed through the therapeutic process. In Core process psychotherapy body mind and spirit are included and welcomed.

In Core Process Psychotherapy, the therapist works collaboratively with the client to explore their core patterns of thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. The therapist may use mindfulness and other contemplative practices to help the client become more aware of their internal experiences and to develop greater insight and understanding into who they are. They will create a safe non judgemental space from which healing can occur.

The purpose of Core Process Psychotherapy is to help individuals develop a deeper sense of self-awareness, compassion, and understanding, and to discover their own innate wisdom and potential, in an embodied way. By doing so, individuals can find greater meaning and purpose in their lives, and experience a greater sense of well-being, fulfilment and healing.
